Fuel Line Kits

I have a hunch that my fuel lines are still original, and the shade tree mechanic heat duct shield isn't exactly cutting it IMO. So has anybody used either of these kits, and what are the pros and cons? LR's is pricier but maybe higher quality? It has shiny colors so that is a plus right.

Gas Line Recall

I bought the Rennbay kits for the '87 & '88 924S.

I prefer to see if the hoses are OK and this is not possible with the stainless steel covered fuel lines.

I used the Rennbay kit.

I can not speak about the LR lines, have not bought them.

However I did buy the lines from Rennbay and installed on my son's 88. Easy install and fit well. The hardest part was removing the right side inner fender well and cutting the two lines with the supplied tubing cutter. Other than that I would press you to replace the short hose between the regulator and the fuel rail. I know it's expensive for such a small part but I did not want a car-b-que.

I had a local company make them up for me. They used some of the old fittings and the original insulation. They lines look original but they are new.

Your engine bay looks sweet! I don't see myself taking the engine bay apart just to paint everything though :/

Larts makes a kit out of Cali sold on eBay. Cheaper, quick to ship local.

Larts sells aset of Stainless braided ones for less than $200.
