87 924s

I was looking at a 87 924S today for a friend of mine and I was wondering what these cars are worth.
The car is guards red, 5-speed tan/black interior,117k miles,I drove the car and it was tight and quiet.ran very strong, engine sounded good, no water in the oil,and vice versa.
The paint was damn near flawless, and so was the interior, the story of the car is....the guy bought the car from a lady who bought it for her mother that had cancer and always wanted a red sports car,the lady with the cancer never even got to drive it,it just sat in the garage. She bought it from the orginal owner,so Larry(the guy selling it) bought the car and only put about 3k on it,in about 2-3 years.Always garage kept. I have a good gut feeling about theis car,the a/c blows colder than mine, but no records,I dont even think the timing belt has even been changed, not sure. Everything on the car works perfect, but he wants 6950.00 for it!!!! Is that too much?
TIA
Sorry for the long post

Way to much for a 924S even if it looks nice. With 117K miles on it it should be about $3500 if it is real real nice with good maint history. Remember things like belts, motor mounts, clutch, water pump and such can all cost you big bucks to replace if you do not plan to do the owork yourself.

Anyway $3000 to maybe $4000 would be the range for that car not almost $7K. You can get damn nice 944s for that cost.
