assembly lube preference
as the title suggests, what is the general consensus on preference.

A good start would be what is listed in the WSM. I don't have mine right now. Do a search on this and other forums, i'm sure there is plenty of opinions.....kind of like the best oil argument.

Assembly lube...
I used to use Lubriplate. |
I used the Sta Lube and it worked fine.

I haven't needed to assemble anything in the 944 requiring assemkbly lube. That said I have used Sta Lube in several other engines. It's recommended by many engine builders.

Sta-Lube is not at all bad stuff, but I am using Redline these days... :D

some guys like assembly lube - others stay clear of it on purpose and only use break in engine oil.
i always used isky lube. |
