more 134a conversion

We have the kit and are getting ready to do the conversion. I noticed that the tech artical wasn't up yet, but we were going to work on this tommorow. Does anyone have any diagrams of the A/C unit or some steps to do this. Which valve is the high side and which is the low?

Send me an email and I will zap you a copy of the tech article.

The valve by the compressor is the one you want to change. Not the valve on top. Make sure not to overfill the system as that will work like it was low. Not cold.

Hi,

My A/C system is with R12 and I am thinking of conversion myself.
Where is the kit available from, how much, and what does it have? And also what shop eqipment is necessory? How much woul it cost if I was to send it to a shop to do the conversion?

Thank you,
Maachan

For the official Porsche tech directive for 134 conversion try this site. http://members.tripod.com/early944/
He has a lot of good info and a link to a scanned copy of the conversion tech directive. I found this invaluable to dispell all the "suggestions" my Chevy buddies gave me (you gotta change all the hoses, you gotta change the condensor, you gotta stick a Boss 350 in it with a Hurst shifter...freakin' Neanderthals)
