ok, so I was raising the idle speed on my car (it was at 600RPM) I had the wrench and started turning the idle screw under the cam and the head snapped right off, barely any pressure. So, does anyone have one of the adjustment screws with the nut on it for an '83, or know where I can get one?
also: the bolt head was 8MM, but does anyone know what size the actual bolt is, like how think the shaft is? I need to know to drill it out....

Short of finding a throttle body at a junk yard, I am guessing the dealer will be your best bet.
You may want to try 20th street auto in phoenix AZ, they have a lot of hard to find used 944 parts http://www.20thstreetauto.com AFJuvat |

do you think I would just be able to use a bolt with a nut on it for locking it?

Have intake with charred throttle body. Will take a look today if screw and lock nut is removeable.

nevermind, thanks though. I got it fixed. We put some WD-40 in it and then i drove it some, got back home and the rest of the screw was gone. Went to a hardware store and got a 5MM screw with 2 lock-nuts. put it in and it fit...
