Car still not starting!!! THIS SUCKS!!!

After changing my cap and rotor my car didnt start....so far this is what i checked

1) set the engine to TDC
2) the car to the correct firing order off the cap
4 2
3 1
3) set screw for the rotor is on tight
4)all spark plugs and boots are tight and correct order
5) i am getting tach bounce

sounds like the car is back firing inside the intake manifold .....has anyone experienced this...i really dont wanna tow the car to a mechanic

i am losing hope

Where are u located?
If your hearing backfire in the manifold it seems that it's firing when the intake valves are open.
If all the cables are correct the double check the rotor if it's in the right position.
Let us know

Did you put the old cap back on. Possibly the new cap is bad?

are ur spark plugs gaped at the spec and are they wet ? ( if ur injectors are triggered by the DME) if u have spark and fuels it cant be ur Reference sensors since they trigger the spark ? or just the fuel ?

Could still be the reference sensor; tach gets it's signal from the speed sensor, so tach bounce only confirms that the speed sensor is OK. Reference sensor is used to control spark timing; if that signal isn't present, the DME doesn't know where it is in the cycle so it can't fire the ignition at the right time.

Look at your cables again- you've got them on the wrong terminals or the rotor is installed wrong.

compression
fuel
spark

verify all of those, then and only then, start tracking down the less likely. never assume that anything is good because it is new. it is more likely that a new part will be an issue, than an old known working part.

if you put the old stuff back on, and correctly, then your problem is elsewhere.

go back to the beginning and verify the above. do you have compression? do you have fuel? (you actually need to see or at least smell fuel) do you have spark? (pull a spark plug wire and see if it sparks when cranking - be careful not to ground yourself)
