What air fuel gauge do you use?

Do any attach to an independently purchased oxygen sensor - i.e. the sensor is not built in? Is this technically dubious?

the only accurate and useful gauges use a wide band O2 sensor, and not the narrow band like what is in the car already.

as a rule, an analog gauge is more accurate and easier to read than a digital one. the wider the sweep angle, the easier and more accurate the reading.

there are a number of good gauges out there, and you really have to decide what you want to see in your car.

once the car is properly tuned though, there really is no need for a gauge.

i recommend an LM-2. that allows you to log data and tune. then, when you're done, you don't have to worry about sensors dying or a place to put your gauge

i have the AEM wideband. it works great. i wouldn't put different chips in my car until i had the wideband to verify that the A/F ratio was good.
