cold start remains on...1983 944

Help, after start, when the engine warms up a bit it runs very rich, black smoke stumbling, etc.Changed coolant sensor, fuel pressure regulator,DME, DME relay and no luck. Above 3500 rpm runs OK, so I believe the No 1 injector is pumping too much fuel after cold tart? Thoughts?

Take a look at the barn door inside the AFM. Could be stuck? Also, I would suspect the AFM track - if it's worn out you can adjust it (do a search and check out the video on utube).

Also check the connector at the AFM, clean the contacts.

If it's running rich it's probably too much fuel but could also be lack of air - check the air filter.
