Well dang.

Came to Memphis for a funeral and just now as I'm headed back to Nashville my rear windshield shatters. Anyone in Memphis or Nashville with one to sell? Preferably on the cheap.

I have an extra one in Lexington, KY. I was going to reseal it since it has frame seperation and keep it as a back up. I really wasn't planning to sell. I know it can be a pain to find something when you really need it. I hope there is a better and cheaper offer close to you (Lexington is about 5 hours the wrong side of Nashville from Memphis), but I would let this one go for $75.

Make sure you look for the wiper delete plug if you had one. Also, if you have a late model with the 3rd brake light, try to keep the electrical connectors intact. I am looking for an extra connector. Let me know if I can help or if you end up with an extra connector when you get things sorted out.

Good luck.

Michael

I live in Ashland City and stripping an 87na that I totaled. The rear hatch is in good shape. It has third brake light, no wiper and the tabs for the wires for the heated defoster are gone. I have already taken the hatch pins off. The glass is still tight in the frame. It has tint on it. I will let you have it for $50

just go buy a new one. they aren't that expensive (a few hundred bucks). that's what glass insurance is for anyway. used glass sucks. it's never as clear, and is always more brittle. that's the nature of liquids (glass is a liquid, not solid). a used one will fail soon enough, and then you'll be pissed you wasted your money.

It is a myth that glass is a liquid at room temperature. It is funky stuff but aluminum will flow before glass does, especially hatch frames.
