No oil pressure

Parked the car on a incline over night facing up hill and now can't get any oil pressure. Anyone else have problems with this before? I'm suspecting its just low on oil.

So level it out, then check the oil?

Majin325,

If you do not get oil pressure on a level surface or low oil as suggested, here are the next possibilities in order of recent posts.

#1 --your front crank bolt is loose (X2 or ?) It has to be torqued to 150 FT lbs.

#2 Your guage is off due to grounds being corroded.
#3 Your oil pressure guage is shot or you should upgrade.
#4 Your oil pressure guage wire connections are loose or the wire insullation is broken causing a short
#5 You have a crack in the oil pickup tube or the "O" ring is rotted on the oil pickup tube.
#6 You have an air leak in the oil pump
#7 You are using a poor/cheap oil filter with a weak "anti oil drain back valve". Use OEM, KN or Mahle ---no store brand or FRAM type.
#8 Your oil pump is shot.

Just a couple of ideas--seems to be a trend.

I added a quart of oil and the pressure came back. What worries me now is that I noticed a milkshake residue running down inside the fill hole. Havent seen this before but I did replace the oil/air seperator seals a couple months ago. My oil is normal and my coolant is still clear. It has been very wet and cold outside for a while here in Washington.

As long as the milk shake residue is on the cap or around the hole that is just moisture in the air mixing with oil around the fill hole. Check the oil cap for cracks, damage, etc. Wipe it off and you're good to go. This happens in cool, cold, clammy areas and situations. When you change your oil or take a sample and you find a milk shake looking oil, that's a whole different kettle of fish.
