Anybody tried this stuff?

Just finished installing my new cam cover gasket and am presently 'burning ' off all the oil that leaked onto the exhaust manifold. I stumbled upon this - PermaTech - Fast and Easy Oil Stop-Leak and wondered if it's any good?

These "miracle" products always seem like snake oil/more harmful than good

Hi Steve,

Bob is the Oil Guy has a forum with this Q:
Anyone Ever Use PermaTech Engine Oil Stop Leak? - Bob Is The Oil Guy

Not much else.

A little expensive to just "give it a try".

If you cleaned the engine surfaces and cam housing with acetone and had no scratches, the new cam housing gasket should not leak.

Hi Steve,
try it and let us know in June if your engine still runs..
If so, this might be the salvation I'm looking for to avoid re-sealing my engine this summer.
TIA

P.S. If your gasket is not leaking, please disregard my requst.

Actually I wasn't planning on using it in my 944, I have an old Ford Ranger that has 200k+ and leaks a bit. Just saw the ad on this website so it has to be legit, right?
