Couldn't help myself - there were cones!

I often drive different ways into work, for variety. This morning, I came into the office by a route which takes me through the parking lot of our local sports arena.

There is some event planned for today, and the roadways were full of traffice cones dividing the lanes. It was about 7:00 am and no one was around, so I thought...........................SLALOM!!!!

Yeah, that was fun! And no, I didn't hit any.

lol - that sounds like me when i hit one of those traffic circles. depending on the car i am driving at the time, i either drive right through the middle, or go around for a couple of laps.

Any military experience? Taking different routes to/from work each day is good operational security, lol.

Ha - I hadn't thought of that! No, no military experience here.

Given what some people think of me, however, I guess it's probably not a bad idea to keep up the practice...

I like to research new ways to get around. Once you start to learn the streets and lights, you can "move with the flow".

For example, most lights, left turn goes first, so if there is another road that gets where I'm going, a left turn gets me moving sooner. Of course, a tight turn can be made on red, so if I'm stopped for a road with low enough traffic to make a right turn...

Even though I stick with the speed limits, I get places a lot quicker than my friends and family that exceed it.

So my "route" is never planned, and can change everytime based on the lights.

Lol speeding really only actually makes you go faster if you're on the highway. Red lights and stop signs are the great equalizer. I wish I had a dollar for every time I get blown by while coasting to a red just to pass them when it's green, still coasting lol, and they're stopped at the red wasting gas and brake material.
