Build date question
 

I'm ordering a dash mat cover and they asked if my car was built during the last half of the model year. My plate says 1/89, so would that be the last half or first half. Thanks.

Yea, I know that, but would Jan. 89 be in the first half or last half of the production year? I don't know what difference it makes to them, but it does.

From a sales standpoint I'd say first half, but in actual production it should be second half since they usually start production on the next year in like September. That's my guess, but shouldn't they know? I mean they are the ones asking so it's odd that they don't know. I don't see any differences in the dash, I don't see why it would matter. Maybe they heard you wrong or are confused and are thinking of the '85 dash change. I'd make sure that they know that just in case

Something must have changed mid year to the dash, but I don't know what it would be. I don't have a clue how the 2 dash pads would be different. I'll call them back.
