other sites for mechanic questions
I love to get feedback on non-Porsche topics or noob questions from the Pelican Parts subscribers, even unsolicited.
However, some questions might be addressed elsewhere - e.g. tools, materials, technique, engineering - when a Porsche-specific element is not there. Any suggestions for sites to ask these questions? But to reiterate - I still appreciate "outside" discussion on the PP forum, e.g. the recent thread on garage heaters! In fact I might ask outside questions in any case. |

Really it won't get any better than the off topic section here. I mean, any question you ask you can get a dozen great answers too in short order.

Id say its fair game to ask slightly off topic questions here such as tool questions or garage questions, or say a general question about something car related (i.e. how does camber effect my ride? or "why increase compression in your engine?") as long as the information can be relevant to our cars Id say its ok. Off topic forum here is good but there is a lot of stuff there so your question may fall to the way side.
If you have questions about a specific car there is most likely a forum out there for it, Id say look around and see if you can find one. Regards Dave

Grassroots Motorsports forum has a pretty ridiculously expansive brain-collective, and pretty much everyone over there is glad to help others.
