Window switch help

I have a late car and there is constant power to the two window switches on the drivers side. Does not seem to drain the battery but always operational when the key is off. What are my first steps in troubleshooting? Thanks

Interesting...does the passenger side switch also stay operational? All the window switches are fed from relay G7, so if that stuck closed due to welded contacts, the windows would stay 'live'. However, all the switches would operate unless you had a wiring fault or a bad passenger window switch on the drivers side as that is the one that then feeds the passenger side switch. There will be no drain as there is no load. I would check G7 first...remove it and see if the windows operate. If they do, then you have a further wiring fault somewhere. If they dont - it could be the relay is stuck.
