Hi Trevorlw, WHY would you use Water anywhere near the AOS, much less Flush it out with water? Do not flush the AOS with water. Use Diesel Fuel or Seafoam to clean/flush the inside of the AOS.

I was thinking similar...
SeaFoam and plug the holes/shake/repeat till looks clean when dumped out. Lol

If you have oil in the TB Throttle Body, replace the AOS seals.

Easy easy ( for Gaw ) only a couple of hours.
