GT Racing bumper install

Hi. I just ordered a bumper for my 83’ 944 n/a. The bumper is the 924 gt replica (part #241) I was wondering if anyone else has gotten this and how did they mount it up to the car? Thanks

Almost all the fiberglass I’ve bought for racecars requires custom brackets to fit and some “shaping” of the panels to fit right. They are primary for lightness and not for looks or ease of fitment. I’ll bet that even the original 924 GT bumper brackets won’t work on any aftermarket panels. Maybe someone has fitted this panel before and will share their custom bracketery with you, most likely though you will have to figure it out yourself.

thanks for the information. I figured I’d have to custom make something but hoping someone has installed this bumper and can help out

I know someone who installed this bumper and it took a LOT of extra fiberglass work to mount it and get it to line up correctly. The quality of fit of these parts leaves a lot to be desired. If you are good with fiberglass you can make it work, but it is nowhere near a bolt-in solution.

If you want one that is top quality, fits first time and comes with brackets all for around $500, you need to contact Advanced Composites in Texas
