Applied Business Concepts: Bad Experience

Well, I purchased a black plush carpet set from Applied Business Concepts for $430 shipped with the rear seat delete kit for my 944. I can't change the carpet out now as the seats I was going to use won't work in the car so it is staying stock.

So, I called ABC to return it and I would of course pay shipping back to them. Well, it was 2 days outside of the 30 day return policy. Okay, I get return policies and respect the reasons stores have them. However, this carpet set is still in the original box and as it came from the shipping company. Their response was that they can't sell it as new now since it's outside of 30 days. How in the hell does 2 days make a difference on resale value? It is still Brand New in the box. The place got some good reviews form forum members and thats why I went with them, but this is rediculous. It's not like they had to special make it for me. It was sitting on their shelf in the box and now its doing the same thing. They could easily of taken it back and I've had situations in the past where a place will take something back outside of the return policy with the understanding that it is ready to put back on the shelf and sold as new.

Now I guess the question is: Anybody want a brand new black plush carpet set for 944 $400???

So you said flat out you were outside the return policy timeframe and you knew that. Yet you post here laying the blame on them and trying to make a bad name for this company because of YOUR error?

Outrageous. They are under no obligation to accept your return outside of their stated timeframe. You are not a special snowflake.

I get the feeling the "true" story would be that you were farther than "2" days outside the return window.

They do not want to ship it to another customer after its been sitting in unknown conditions past their return date.

It's the companie's policy

Damn, lighten up, he is out $430, let him vent a little.

No! He's trying to trash that sellers good name and their ability to make a living because of HIS mistake! Don't spend $400 on something you're not sure you can use and then talk bad about the seller when YOU keep the item past the return policy date!

The appropriate action is to simply create a for sale in the parts section. Although if ABC isn't willing to give him full price, I doubt he'd find a buyer for full price either.

I wonder how black carpets would look in a brown early model. >_>

Probably not something I should mess with, but I'll probably end up with black seats eventually. <_<
