Brown Steering Shaft Sleeve part number
I recently replaced my ignition switch on my 84 944. The brown spacer/sleeve that goes behind the black sleeve and in between the bearing and steering shaft broke. I have looked up the part number on the Porsche 944 PET but I'm unsure what part number is the right one. Ive narrowed it down to these two numbers 171419341 or 171419549. Can someone please confirm which number is correct.

I'm not sure what part you are talking about, but I believe the plastic piece that sits between the shaft and bearing that crumbles after 30 years is 171419341. I just ordered one today. Maybe someone can confirm.

Yes, I think that's the piece. If you can post a picture of the piece when you receive it I would appreciate it.
