Porsche recommends 91 octane gas and since we are not in germany we usually can't buy 91 octane gas. Premium gas however is 92 octane.

porsche doesn't reccomned 91 for the NAs, you can go ahead and use the 87 for NA cars, your compression is not that high. You have to use 91 octane in turbos
i am assuming you got this info from either inside your gas flap or in your manual, if i am not mistaken those are not the same as us measurements, even though it says 91 i do believe it is actually 87 in the US. correct me if i'm wrong Last edited by Andre; 07-14-2002 at 06:10 PM.. |

what's with the turbo sticker? lil rice goin' there? I think you would have done better to take off the wheels and sell them separately

Yeah the original owner put the turbo emblem on the dash and I just never took it off. People that don't know 944s and ride in my car see it and always ask me if it is turbo.. I then start to make funny turbo noises, and then pull over, and ask them kindy to GET OUT. Or I just tell them i took it off for weight reduction, that turbo thing has to weight at least 30lbs! Everyone knows lighter equals faster, there is no doubt about that. Anyhow the ladies love the emblem.
