Timing belt brand preferences
timing belts for a turbo!
someone mentioned to me they didn't like a certain brand of timing or balance belt due to the teeth shape. what brands do everyone prefer?

some prefer gates and some prefer conti. There is a new kevlar timing belt out as well. I have used conti in an NA and am currently using conti in my 944 turbo for 3 years now and haven't had a problem. I can't remember the brand with the odd teeth though.

Porsche brand is more than likely the best and safest bet.
