Chassis after dismantling?

I've had to move my dismantling project into my apartment building garage, which will make removal of the chassis a little bit more difficult than I had thought.

Anyone have good ideas of the best way to get rid of a chassis with no wheels? I'm in Los Angeles. Any good salvage or junk yards that pick up or where it can be dropped off?

Or anyone interested in chassis from an 87 944S? Still working on a few things on it,

i might have a use for the front half of the body. if youve got a 240V plug i could bring my plasma cutter.

I don't know if I do, but the garage is very close to the laundry room that has the hot water heater and my apt is right above... So maybe? Where would one find a 240V plug in an apartment building usually?

If you can use the front half it's yours I did **** up the front left fender panel when i needed to get the ABS pump (or what i believe it to be) out.

if i did end up taking it i would be more interested in the "underbody" not the exterior panels. the engine bay.

If you chop it you still have to find a junk recycler to drop it off. You may as well sell it for its weight in whole and save you some time and sweat.

I need a fuel return line from the tank up to front wheel well, did you save those?

I have cut up 3 different cars so far with just a sawzall and a 4 inch disc grinder with thin cutting discs.

+1 on the Sawzall. My son cut up one in three parts with a Sawzall; didn't take that much time. While we did go through a lot of blades, it was easier than I'd anticipated.

A tip: be careful when you go through the gas lines, and make sure you have an extinguisher handy.

Another tip: buy the best blades you can get.

You will go through less blades if you get the demo blades. They are a little thicker.

I've cut one myself and yes the sawzall all rips right thur like butter. Those were the days, I wouldn't dare chopping one now unless it was recked. I have one since 1998 now listed in CL and just busted a fuel line so will have to repair or take $500-800 off the price to even get interested buyers.

If no sale I might be chopping my second 944.

I have that fuel line Bigbadal, but haven't picked it yet.

here it is, the engine bay looks good. very close to pulling the engine out.

Wow wish I could come pull some small items off, I need about ten clips from the rain gutters over each window, the windshield washer jets, black interior carpet, and fuel pump compartment metal strap that secures the pan in place. Like I said minor stuff but if I'm selling as-is should I even go thru the hassle? Hmmmmm oh yeah also driver side rear bumper rubber as mine is broken (see pic)

I got those, except the black carpet. Haven't pulled them yet though. Work is pretty crazy these days so I haven't got enough time to pick it apart further, but I'll set those aside for you when i get em out, if you want. Rear bumper rubber looks good on this one if I remember correctly.

I can't sell mine until fuel line is replaced as tank is half full and buyer will want to hear her run first. I hate to sell anything if I know it's really crap, I'd rather junk it first for a few bucks. That won't be the case here as I have parking space on my driveway.

what shape is the carpet in? i might want a few parts off that car. are you still in hollywood?

V2Rocket, I did't have to move it all the way up to Hollywood, it's still down in Boyle Heights (south east of Downtown), by where the 5 and 10 intersect. Parts of the carpets are ok. But others have stains and stuff that might not be removed. The driver side well carpet was all torn. Hatch carpet might be salvageable or not. Hard to tell. Any specific pieces you're looking at?

+1 on the sawzall . When they get down to the bones I'll cut some larger chunks that I can still ship Fedex and then just put the shell in craigs list free items I get about 8-10 hits and normally is dragged off same day or next.
