Anyone recoginze this Alarm System
 

I just recently purchased an 1987 944 to make a track car for $800.
It has not run in several years. The car is in pretty good shape since it was stored in doors until the last year.
The guy that bought it did not have a clue as to working on it. It was in better shape than I though so I have decided to just fix it and use it for DE's and a daily driver.

It was stored after it was in a wreck. It has light front end damage which I will repair.

I attempted to turn the motor over and never got anything not even a click from the starter. I noticed 4 small lights on the top of the door panel on each side when I purchased the car and figured it was for an alarm system.

A look under the dash reviled a black box with a gillion wires going to it, just hanging.

Could a screwed up alarm system lock out the starter. I'm not familiar with them so do not know.

The photos is not too clear and there is a tag on the other side, but the information on it is hard to read.
Anyone recognize it?

Found out it is an Audiovox Code Alarm. Look's like I'll be tracing wires for awhile to remove it.

Good save on that car. You were right - definitely fixable.

Yep - that's an overly-complex idiotic early '90s Audiovox. Almost worse than those Clifford alarms that were sheek in the early 80s. You'll be pulling wires all over the place for a while.

Heck, I bet you'll have better protection with the original factory alarm (if your has one) mounted on the rear fender. Its such old technology that the average homey probably wouldn't be familiar with it.
