When one noise stops....
Sigh... Here's another one for you guys. I noticed this metal tapping noise as I was driving the car this morning. It Does NOT stay consistent with the speed of the sound. It's a constant at any speed. I noticed it seems to stop WHILE i'm turning the steering wheel. Tried to pinpoint the sound and can't for the life of me figure it out!:( I'm going to post up a video of the sound. Maybe you guys can help.

I'm guessing wheel bearings, probably rear on the driver's side, don't ask me how I know this...

That's the video. It's definitely coming from the front. But will the metal sound even when the car's at a full stop?

Whoa, now that I hear it...I had a similar sound and it was the alternator belt that had started to shred -parts of it were hitting all over the place. That's my second guess, hope it's not something internal.

ahh Sh** I had that belt that was too tight. It seemed fine when I took a look at it. Ill try with a new belt. But any other input is greatly appreciated!

Does it still happen with the engine shut down and the ignition on (thinking fan blades)? Turn the A/C on with the engine not running but the ignition on. Spin the fan blades by hand and see if they're hitting anything (make sure the ignition is off and the engine is cold). Also look at the belts that run the alternator-A/C and the power steering for anything unusual. Another idea is to pull the fan fuses while the noise is going on to see if that stops it.

thanks trpleseven you always have good advice! I'm going to run through it tonight after work. and it happens when the engine is running.
