cabriolet question
Hi, I am looking at a couple of 944 cabriolets for sale. It is my understanding that the rear seats were deleted to accommodate the conversion. This was evident in a 968 I have seen which had a storage space incorporated in that area. However I have seen some pictures of 944 cabs that show the rear seat bottoms still in place with seat belts. Is this correct or are these cars not factory authorized conversions?

The 944 cab had rear seat. I'm sure as I had one and the manual agrees with me.
The 968 didn't have rear seats.... |
They have seats but they can fold down for long things in the trunk

Yep. 944 cabs have rear seats. 968's do not.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback!

in the 968, the rear seats were deleted only in the US, and as a requirement of DOT. shoulder belts cannot be added in safe locations in the rear seats.
canadian 968s have rear seats, as do ROW ones. they do not have the same seat belt requirements we do. |
