84 944 interior bits
Hello gents,
well I got a little frustrated and messed up one of my a pillar covers.. it wasn't installed right at the factory and well I missed a screw and it didn't like that. So I've got an 84 and an 85.5 a pillar cover, my question is; has anyone recovered them? am I crazy to try? should I just call up my local junkyard (yes they actually have a 944 in their inventory) and get the replacement? the 84 is really smooth and kinda browned and the 85.5 is really textured and jet black (both qualities I prefer). I have no problem getting some vinyl and just gluing a new cover over the old and it might look better overall as question two is; does anyone have a complete interior overhaul? what glue should I use? I tried 70 or 90 3M glue on some vinyl leathery stuff, and it quickly came undone.. I'm just lost in the dark here, I want to do the interior myself as I have a very specific plan for the interior. I also have a bit of a pickle, I removed my moon/sun/heavy massive hole in my roof with a 924 skin. is there any specific method of doing the head liner? I'm a pretty tall guy so I'd like as much clearance as I can get. Well hopefully there is someone out there that has any clue what I'm saying and has some answers for me when I get off work tomorrow.
