brake/fuel lines under passenger side of car
I have to ask -
for the late MY 944's, there's the fuel and brake lines that run under the passenger side of the car. they are held by clips - yes John_AZ has a tutorial on this for early MY's. I am not talking about the things which attach at the fuel tank or in the engine compartment. just under the car and how they extend into the engine compartment but not the rubber hoses that are connected to them. so there might be a hard-line that is fastened into another hard line. are the replacement parts for these lines simply swapped out - or is there cutting, bending and measuring involved? how are these lines provided - straight?

Howdy...
See page #125 of: http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/en/E_944_85_KATALOG.pdf Looks like all hard lines are supplied with required bends.. My lines look ok from the outside although Item #13 ( Rear Pressure distributor) is one rusty boy.. No leaks and brakes are firm and grabby. Also, of course our forum hosts offer the hard lines: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/944M/POR_944M_BRKhyd_pg6.htm Hope these help.. mikey
