87 951 oil cooler hoses

Hey folks,

I've been re-building the upper end of my engine and still have my sanity with scares to show for it.

I've got a really stupid question but hear me out. I got the oil cooler loose and "almost" off of the engine. I got to the simple part of removing the cooler hoses, and, howdy-dowdy damn they won't budge. 14 inch crescent on one "nut" and a twelve on the other. Absolutely no release. Did this til I just quit. Then, I used a MAP gas bottle to heat em up a little bit. No matter how hot no motion.
ANY ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
