87 924s......16x8 phone dials fit?

I've aquired a set of 16x8 phone dials, late offset, with 225-50/16s on them......
I know they'll be fine in the rear, what about the front? Car is kinda low.......
Of the fronts don't fit I'll be looking to trade 2 of them for some 7s.....
Thanks!

You are correct that the 16x8's w/225-50s will fit the rear. They will not fit on the front though. I have 205-55x16s on 7" wheels with offset 55mm on the front of my 924 which is lowered 1 inch and they fit perfect. 16x8 wheels w/52mm offset on the rear and 16x7 w/55mm offset on the front look great on the 924.

Here are some pics....
Turns out these are 16x7 and 16x8,, all 4 have the 225-50/16s......seem to rub the front strut, haven't lowered the car with them on yet....just test fit in the air.....
Tires are good......these are off a 928....

What color should I paint them?
Gloss black?
White?
Not orange?
Anyone want to Photoshop my wheel color?

Orange is a very cool color to work with, I would go with a deep navy blue color with a medium mix of silver chips to increase the reflectivity. Send us all a picture after you are finished.

yeah, that's the trick to getting a 225/50-16 tyre to fit in front without rubbing the narrower 924S fenders. The 928 PhoneDials have 65mm offset and places all of the extra 1" width on the inside edge. This keeps the tyre from rubbing the fender, especially annoying if you have the steering turned in a corner and hit a bump.
