door side mouldings

84 944. the passenger side door moulding is starting to come loose. its still attached at either end, but its coming away in the middle.
how is this attached ? is it just some kind of waterproof epoxy or what.
when i pull it away from the door, in the middle, i can see a rubber strip all along its lengh, but no obvious sign of clips or anything.

its 2 sided tape 3m makes a good product you can use but you will have to remove the strip and clean old tape off.

Ditto. The 3M body trim tape is the way to go. That or something very similar is what was used originally. Most auto supply stores carry it. You can use dental floss to remove the moulding. Just make sure you have all of the old tape off both the moulding and the body and everything really clean before re-installation.
