Rear hub removal to access parking brake pads??

Everyone, been working to rebuild my rear brakes and replace the parking brake pads on my 87 924S , got the calipers off ( and painted), the rotors are removed and the 32mm nut that holds the rear hub is off ( had to heat it and use a 6 foot pipe over the breaker bar to get it loose). The rear axle splines easily side out of the hub but the hub is not coming off. Is there something else I am missing to pull the hub??? Haynes indicates the hub should just come pull off without having to use a puller.
Thanks
Frenchy

1) make sure your parking lever is release
2) on mine, I had to turn the adjuster star inside the hub to loosen the parking brake a little more, then I used a leather mallet to "tap" the hub to break it loose from the brake shoes

Guys thanks for the help. I went ahead and pulled the parking brake shoes without pulling off the hub. Not that hard of a job, just a little tight. Then of course when I compared the old shoes with the new ones, they were not the same, supplier send me the wrong brake shoes. I'll have to wait for the replacement (and hopefully) right shoes before I can start putting everything back together. Amazing how these 4 hour jobs take two weeks.
Take care

Been there. Done this one for the same reason. The Centric parts I received (for my '87 924s) were for a 911.
