Lighter, always lighter.
I started to really clean the inside of my Cup car. the sound deadening was out but there was a ton of glue under the carpets, and these are badly torn at places (from some different cage the idiot PO put in)
So in front it looks about stock: but in the rear... The last few months it got a lexan rear hatch, some grooved slicks, a small washer bottle, and now I tried it as is. Wow, it really flies now, And the slicks throw up lots more stones in the wheelwells, you'd swear you're in a cabrio, or a window is open. I'll eventually put the carpets back in , but I thought I'd show you this ![]() GeorgeK |

Chris, Overkill The cage is the original, the car was the celebrity guest car in the French turbo Cup, run '88-'90. It is a matter alloy cage. The PO took it out, then had a Heigo unit put in, painted red, and fastened at all the wrong places... I re-put the original cage in. Does wonders for the car.

I'm doing this to my car right now.
How did you clean out all the glue and fuzz? How did you paint it? |

Hi Eligunn
I used two products: the first is Prepsol, a solution used by my body shop friends to clean and degrease, the other is rectified benzin. AND a scraper... Don't do that in a closed room, unless you fancy the headache of a lifetime. The interior color is as it was. The car has had at least three colors in its life. Regards, GeorgeK |
