bending drive shaft while pulling motor 1983 N/A
Hey guys i just pulled the motor out of my 1983 944 n/a to swap it with a 1985 1/2 motor. After i had the motor out i spun the drive shaft while looking at the shadow behind it and noticed the shadow moves slightly up and down as it spins. I was just wondering if it is easy to bend a drive shaft while pulling the motor and if that is what i have done.
Also wanted to give a special thanks to forum member Timmay! For all the help with my timing and balance shaft belts seals and rollers replacement and for hooking me up with a bunch of parts. A very knowledgeable man when it comes to these 944s. |

Tim is THE man when it comes to 944s.
Try and measure how much the shaft wobbles when you spin to see if it's worth worrying about |
