Question Auto Atlanta Service?

Has anyone used them? Are they competent and how are their prices?

Use the search and you'll see what people think of them. Crib notes? Not good.

Where in GA are you located? Maybe we can offer alternative service shops.

Why the hell would you ask about them on their competitor's website?

That being said I've only had positive experiences with them.

Same here, but they are a bit slow shipping and their shipping rates are a bit pricey.

Service is different than parts sales. If you have not had your car serviced at AA then do not interject.

Agreed use the search as this has been beaten to death for years. If you want my opinion hit me up on PM. AA used to be in my backyard when I lived in ATL.

Don't see how, the owner George was a total d#ck when he sent me inferior and the wrong parts in the same order. Oh and after three weeks of calling I still didn't get the right parts or my money back.

Does he suddenly change into an angel when you go there for a service?

A nice feature of the site is the link between part number and the PET sheets. Parts took a little longer to ship than others. Use them mainly for the part look up and buy from others.

No complaints. Great web site. I really like how the part is accompanied by an illustration of where it goes. Invaluable.

They did a good job on a cam tower gasket diagnostic and replacement.

They were not helpful when an order for brake pads got messed up.

I would not buy mail order from them again, but I would take my car to them for work.

I should have been more clear, sorry. When I lived in ATL there was usually no issue in getting parts from AA. But again that was face to face counter sales.

As for service there, never ever. Unless the whole crew of mechanics has changed...

George was always very decent in person and knows his stuff... The staff and service folks unfortunately are playing catch up.

Seeing the way they have been screwing the 914 community since the 80s, and having seen the "type" of work on a really nice 914-6 GT clone, RECENTLY, run away, but since the boards are currently being flooded Auto Atlanta Service Department questions, as the same question, about them working on 911s on another board, I have the wonder if you are really asking, or phishing for new, uniformed people for AA to bend over??? I have personally seen what they try am
and pass off as quality work.

You clearly aren't talking about the same ******* on the old goat farm, I too have been there, and talked to dr douchbag (before I knew any better) and claiming him to be a decent person is like saying if you like your health insurance, you can keep it of MM will rebuild your 911 engine for $3K. Every business knows they are judged by their employees, and if the employees are rude, don't know the product, screw up orders that is a reflection on the business owner, how he runs the business, how he hires & trains employees. Anyone can make a mistake, it is how you handle that mistake you are judged upon, and AA has been making the same mistakes for close to 30 years & handling them the same piss-poor ways as already mentioned in this thread. It wouldn't be the first time dr douchbag's employees have gone to the forums to spread his infections.
