Problem with Fuel Quality Switch - FQS on DME. No triangular switch.

Smog didn't pass, went to Porsche repair shop to get the tuning done.

Mechanic opens up the DME to adjust the fuel quality switch as shown in the charts. However, the switch in my car is not triangular but flat, and it has 10 settings instead of 8. Also, it doesn't stop turning in either direction, so it's impossible to tell what setting it is on from 0-9.
