Beautiful weather here! I've driven through/around Hershey 3 times today and only seen one other P-car! (Blue Cayman S)

If anyone needs anything, I'm in the area and can probably lend a hand. Also, still have some parts I can bring if need be. Just PM me! List below:

944/951 parts

My daily driver land rover is laid up. Water incursion fuse box damage (replaced) and now a broken brake light switch ... which means I can only drive it with the Hawkeye tool commanding the shift interlock to release and I have no brake lights. I have a mountain of 944 parts to sell but they won't fit in a '74 911 so I'm out. Maybe next year fellas.

The turnout was great perhaps due the nice weather and the long winter. I arrived around 1100 and the main Porsche lot was full and I had to park behind the swap met spaces. I picked up a handfull of odds and ends from John at Just Joshin Porsche's. There were a few other 944 vendors present but not as many as in past years. However the turnout of Porsche owners seemed up over past years.

John had a (running) early eurospec sunroof delete for sale.

Couldn't find a rear seat delete. Saw one 2 years ago. Should have bought it.

Very, slim pickins on the 944 end, especially compared to past years.

Swap Meets

Commentary

Sorry, not trying to Hijack the thread, but something that I've noticed.

For years I was heavily into RC Airplanes, still am sort of. We have one of the be biggest, if not the largest trade shows/swap meets, in Toledo, about an hour away.

Man, I use to save my pennies and go drop a $1,000 or more each April. However, factoring in gas prices and the Internet, especially Craigslist and EBay, it really makes no financial sense to drive several hours. Case in point, I"m rehabilitating a 84, 944. The side marker bulb socket was rusted completely away! Few minutes on Craigslist and I had on in the mail for $6.00 dollars. I've been to those swap meets, where you say, why did I drive all the way here?
I'm just saying!

Still think it was crazy to have it Easter weekend!

I agree, very limited on the 944 end this year, atleast compared to what ive seen in the past. I was tempted to pickup the white euro bumper...then i remembered i already have one! I had a good time and the weather was as good as it can get.

I mostly go for the cars though and it was well worth it, a great turnout.

I think in total 3 Carrera GT's showed up!

The Speed Yellow 993RS was a treat to see, albeit on the expensive side ($350k! )

Seeing the ORCA car in person was also a real surprise after years of seeing pictures of it on RL. One awesome build.

There were some fantastic cars to see, in the concourse and the for sale lot, not to mention the 100's of attendees cars.

My son Ben and I enjoyed meeting and doing business with many of you fellow enthusiasts.

We were disappointed to discover that some of our items were stolen right off of our table.

To the guy that stole them, I hope you realize that you not only stole from me but also from my 18 year old son, who recently had a Heart transplant and he was selling these items as a way of generating revenue as he is still in recovery and not able to work.

I will pray for you.

What was stolen? I can't believe anyone from the Porsche owner community would steal...even us front engine guys.

Oh man, that is a buzz kill. I think I met you near Dimi's area, but mostly spoke with him about injectors/parts.

Know that the thief/thieves will get what's coming to them. Karma is a *****.

He said a set of the Tial wastegate adaptors were stolen when we were talking. Very low, agreed.

On a positive note, though, I managed to score almost everything I needed (and some I only wanted). And it was a BEAUTIFUL day to boot.

RETRACTION!

When I got home from work today I told Ben that I had posted this info on the forums.

He said "I forgot to tell you that I found them".

I said "where and when?"

He said he found them when we were packing up to leave and I was off retrieving the car.

He said he forgot to tell me (ugh).

He said they were under the 968 mini champ display case.

This is really odd because we had the WG plates on the far right side of the table and the 6 car display was on the far left. Somebody, probably a kid as many of them wanted to play with the models, must have put them under there.

Anyway the story had a happy ending.

Please forgive me if I upset anybody over this.
