steering wheel fitment
Ok.. Another dumb question thats been rolling around in my head... Will any steering wheel from an N/A fit all years (not including the impact bags ). what years will fit an 83?

Good question. I know there are different size (outer diameter) steering wheels available for late cars.
There could also be differences in the inner hub setup between late and early, too. I tried an 911 steering wheel on a late 944 and it didn't fit because the inner hub was different. But the late and early hub may be the same or maybe not. I have never worked on an early car. |

I have a late wheel on my early. Fits fine but there's a bigger than stock gap between the wheel and the column trim if viewed from the side. The 4 spoke non airbag wheel is smaller than the 3 spoke in diameter which makes steering feel nicer
