944 Maker Light Replacement

Is there an easy way to replace the amber lens left side marker light on my 84 944?

there are two plastic nuts on the back of the plastic spoiler that hold the hole assembly in..just reach up and loosen them by hand and it will pop out

There is a plastic cover over the assembly and the nuts are in a channel type bracket. I can see the aft nut because the plastic cover is broken but mostly intact.
When I first looked at it I thought removal of the cover and bracket was the way to go. That's when I asked if there was an easier way.
