Replacing the coil.. ?

I've got a new coil to put in my 86 turbo..

Didn't find a write up by anyone who has done it before..
Seems straight forward enough..

Assuming I need to remove the headlight motor?
Shoukd I raise the light first?

Anything odd I should know about before I do it?

Thanks,

The headlight motor wont have to come completely out of the car, if you take out the three bolts holding it on the bracket to the right (takes small hands and wrenches), it will rotate forward enough to replace the coil. Are you replacing it with a stock coil or msd?

MSD 8202 (Blaster 2)

Jegs had them on sale for $38.95 shipped.. Car has 105K on it, it's 28 years old..
Figured it couldn't hurt to make sure I've got decent spark..

Plugs were just done... cap, rotor, and 8mm wires all going on as well..

I agree, I put one similar in my 87 na, anti vibration from Lindsey racing, mine was smaller in diameter than stock
so stock mount didn't work, so currently I have a hose clamp holding it on
