Head stud question
Hello All,
Because I admitedly don't yet have a firm grasp on where/what everything is; here is my question: On the below graphic (courtesy of Clarks Garage) are the bolts that hold the coolant return pipe reflected there (maybe #s 5 & 3)? If not, what is the proper location/nomenclature for the bolts that hold the coolant return pipe? Thanks in advance, GHEN

Above graphic is JUST head studs/head nut tightening sequence.
As to your second question, I'm not sure. 'Coolant flange bolts' would be my guess, but I don't have PET or WSM handy right now.

Coolant return pipe...the one on the exhaust side coming back from the heater, or the neck on top of the head where water goes to the radiator?
Heater return pipe is attached to the cam tower. Water neck to radiator would be next to #10, but they aren't part of the torque sequence. |
