Rejuvenating a 924

A good friend who lives in the Irvine, CA area is wanting to get his 1982 924 (he is the original owner) back on the road after having been stored for awhile.

I have searched the forum for recommendations for good shops around Irvine (Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Irvine, Santa Ana, Dana Point) but haven't found any referrals mentioned. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks in advance,

Bob

Posted similar request on the 924.org Forum. Lots of views, but no responses yet. Any other ideas as to how to get info on good shops in Orange County/Irvine area of Southern California? I would imagine that there are several. Is there a better way for me to ask the question?

Frankly, there aren't many shops anywhere that specialize in these cars anymore. You need to find an old school VW/Audi repair shop that features a CIS expert. Their rates will typically be much better than independent Porsche specialists.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the suggestion -- I will try to contact a few of those shops to see if someone might be able to help.
