Picked up a lexan tinted targa top

Posted this on another forum, but thought I'd post here to get more opinions.
So I saw the roof on a 924 on Craigslist in the area, messaged him wondering if he would part with it because he also had the factory roof. I was thinking it was Saratoga, so made an offer that seemed good, with intent to flip. I got there and lo and behold, it's a lexan, contoured, dark tinted, manual roof, no frame, no labels.
I offered him lower because "it wasn't what I expected", he took it.
He also gave me the factory sunroof bag Wink
After searching I found two references to the same roof, but no definitive answer on where it came from. I haven't taken pics, but here is the same roof in an old for sale ad I found that someone else had (not mine):

For Sale: Plexiglass Clear Sunroof - Rennlist Discussion Forums

Thoughts?

Probably small-run one-offs...wouldn't be very hard to do if you had a big enough oven.

I cannot recall exactly what i sold mine for. It wasn't a bad top and I had a brand new seal for it that I sent to the buyer too. At some point I will buy the new version but I am waiting for the latch problems to be sorted out.

New version? Does that mean you know where they came from?
This seal is pretty thick so it makes the lexan flex a bit between latch points

There is another run of glass roofs being made currently.

As for the plastic roof, the one in the linked ad has a generic peel-and-stick seal from any auto store or even home improvement places. I bought the same stuff at Lowes a few months back to get some more rain protection on my hatch frame.
