Update: Why car would die intermittenly

Well, I'm embarrassed to say, but the problem with my car dying and then starting until it would not start anymore has been remedied.

Fuel pump wire was not attached fully...

Once we attached it, it fired up and ran very well. Right now, I'm waiting to get rear shocks and an alignment and then I should be all set.

Finally took the baby up into the higher rpm's and man, after not driving it for a week, it felt real good!

Just thought I'd keep y'all updated....

The "fix" is almost always easy. It's the "finding" that can be a *****.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

He was the one that found it. It was a new fuel pump, and one of his guys put it on, but did not tighten the wires in there. When my mechanic got to it, it took him less than 20 minutes to find it, since he knew it was a fuel related problem.

I let him keep the car for a few days to be sure it was fixed and man, I almost had to wrestle it back from him! He said it was a real fun car to drive.

I need to take a picture of it soon. I'll get a hold of a camera this week.

Reminds me.....one of our buddies met up with us to go dirtbike riding one day. His bike, as immaculate as one could be, ran for about 10 minutes then died....wouldn't start again. Changed plug, mainjet.....Kevin Windham's (MX and supercross rider) mechanic was there that time and tried for a good 10 minutes himself....til he took the seat off The guy had a rag stuffed where the air filter goes.....
