Haven't been around for a bit but would like to hear y'all's thoughts on lowering this thing. I've tried the local parts store and THEY SUCK. the spacers they require don't seem to be what I want out of a tight suspension that Porsche has diesined. Mine is the "S" modle, so I'm not sure if my sway bar needs to be an issue or not. It drives sloppy to Porsche standards but still out does most. What LB should I be looking at. What I bought was 200, which "they" said was stock,..... Every bump I hit was a fender. Put the factory ones on and no proplem but it ain't lowered. Who should I trust with the correct lb on the spring rating? Suspension is just not my thing. Oh Automotion is who set me up with springs. I know..." They sell sh@"" I'm done with those who sell it. I'm asking for those who have it😀. I'm sure some Koni adjustibles would be the cure but the springs will put me at my 1.25 down. Still can't figure out how to post a pic, maybe y'all can help on that too lol.

Stock is 160lb/in.
200 is the upgrade, not sure why you're having problems. I recently put the spacers back on my lowering springs to bring back to stock height for clearance, was pretty easy.

For the rear a 25.5 or 26mm torsion bar is a good match to the 200# spring

On rails;
The 1987-88 'So' models have another rated springs in the front. The OEM's should have some dots if I remember correctly 2 dots. The color will denote the ratings. They are the stiffest rated set out of all models, Even the 968. Unless you step up to a coil over setup like I did, I would stick with Eibach or weiltmister. Lowing the car really help me with the handling I needed. Also tire profile, rims and air pressure are also to be considered. Also see 'the 944 garage' for good tips.
