cylinder head bolts

hi guys have totally rebuilt my head new valves guides seals e.t.c and am now going to rebuild the top end and hopefully have some fun in the 944, so can anyone give me the torque settings on the cylinder head please, thanx john

The head is torqued in three stages in the proper sequence...It's 20nm (15 ft/lbs) then 90 degrees, and the 90 degrees again... This is the updated and preferred way to do the head.

There are three different ways of tightening the cylinder head, dependant on engine type.

BTW, why are you working on the 944 without proper information being available? There are numerous other torque settings required. Valve height must be measured or the hydraulic lifters will not work correctly. If the head is machined below a certain thickness you will need a different head gasket..etc, etc.............
