oil pressure guage compatibility question

Hi all I have posted this on other forums as well........
I am looking for an answer on compatibility.

Will an oil pressure guage from a 944 say 83-early 85 will it be compatible with a a 1981 924 NA?

Thanks Chris.

Chris,

This will bump you back up top.

I've got a 924t up in the air & I believe an old 944 sending unit around somewhere. I'll see if they both ohm out the same.

Well, I can't find the old 944 sending unit, must have thrown it away, took it off a car for leak at terminal. I know it is a 2 terminal for light & gage while 924 has 2 sending units.

I know the gages pretty much look the same & are in center console. Let me look in PET.

Chris,

Don't pay attention to what I "know". 924, at least 924t, has 2 ter sending unit. Sorry about bad info, maybe I was thinking about the 2 coolant sensors.

PET gave different part # for gages & sending unit. 944 sending unit is high priced, if I remember right about $50, & it would be hard to plumb because I think 944 has bigger threads, & 924 unit is right under distributor next to firewall.
