brake fluid reservoir and dash indicators

here are a few scenarios I am interested in:

what happens - e.g. on the dashboard after turning on the electronics - when:

* the brake fluid reservoir gets too low

* the brake fluid reservoir has been disassembled

* the brake fluid reservoir terminals are corroded

You should see a "brake" warning light when the reservoir drops below a certain level due to the position of the floating sensor in the reservoir. Also, if the terminals are corroded, you may get no warning at all because of loss of voltage to the warning light.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

What about intermittent brake fluid light? It seems to come on randomly when going over bumps and stuff. Is the connecter corroded?

Check your fluid level. If the brake fluid level is correct then you may have a faulty sensor or bad or corroded wiring.

When the fluid level is low the center warning light "!" will illuminate and there will be another red light that illuminates indicating the fluid is low. I believe it says "BRAKE FLUID". Just had to add some brake fluid on the 86 that I'm restoring. Those lights came on over crests and bumps.

all - thanks for the info, I have enough to work with. I also appreciate the questions - however, I really intend for this to be limited to the three scenarios I listed - and didn't want to make it an endless debugging session - that can, and may, come later!
