Refinished 17" wheels on my 924S. Thoughts?

I'm due for new tires in the rear (245/45/16) but unfortunately no one in the US makes that size tire that are street legal anymore. So I thought, I've had these wheels for a while so why not upgrade. Searched around on the web. Found these on ebay, Boxter III wheels, used with Michelin tires. For about $1000, I know I prob overpaid especially in the condition they were in. Well I got them in. Excited. I took me to body to get them redone, they shipped it out to a wheel manufacturer to get them redone. I'm happy with the results. Let me know what u guys think!

Beautiful. Now to replace that rear bumper with a Euro model...

Nice look, and pretty car as well, always have liked white on these cars. Did you add the twin exhaust tips? If so, did you notice any difference in the exhaust tone?

Thanks I appreciate it. Yes I did add them. But along with the tip I added a cherry bomb glass pack as well, so yes. Yes I did notice a difference in tone, lol.

Looks great. Any issues with rear fender rub while cornering during acceleration?

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I actually had to cut off the inner lip inside the fender to make them fit. Otherwise it was basically tire peeler while driving lol.

Thanks man! Yeah they are, my previous wheels did not fit as well as these. They were wide but the offset was off. It would rub on the inside of the wheel well with the tire. Had to use spacers. And on dips in the road and rail road tracks it would still rub. I could barely fit my finger in between the tire and well. These new ones are wider and the offset is just right. Now I can fit my hand and wrist, easy. I did have to do so,e fender work but no biggy. Sall goo now. I'm happy with them

They look great, but to add one note to this thread, I recently purchased Bridgestone RE11A in 245/45-16 for the rear of my 951 and they are pretty awesome. Not too cheap but they stick great.

They are 200 treadwear, so while they are not 'racing' tires, they are pretty sticky and probably won't last very long on the street. They are great for auto-x/track days.
