My Two Cars

I am sick?

93 968:

87 951:

Too bad both are red...but that's not really an issue. One is for around town driving, and the other is a bucking bronco!

You are not alone. It all started with an 83 944 which I have since sold and now have an 89 951 and am currently restoring a 1965 356 and just picked up a wide body 1977 911s 2 days ago that has been sitting awhile and needs some help. I wouldn't call it a disease but close.

The 911 isn't mine....just a car I drove by and stopped and took some pictures.

I still have to write up a comparison of a stock 968 vs. modified 951. 968 = linearity, 951 = no torque and then EXCESS above 3k RPM. I laugh almost every time I get on the 951. I smile in the 968.

incurable disease. only thing you can do is treat with one or more Porsches.

ENJOY and drive 'em. no garage queens in my stable. well..... except for the 930 that is patiently waiting for me to dive into a major restore.

Jeff-

Really like those cars! Don't think I have seen a "real" picture of them before.

SF1: I could see getting a 996 most likely for a summer daily driver. I am thinking of using the 968 for another summer and maybe getting a 996 or 997....one needs to change their cars? Right?

I think the 968 will go down in my memory as one of my all time favorite cars. My 91 Audi 200q was also one of those....and my 97 A8 that I modified the heck out of.

Paul,

Are you going to be at the Parade in French Lick next year? I will probably come out with the Mint cab. Not too far from you.

my wife LOVED her 97 A8. >160k miles, had just had tranny rebuilt the second time, and the whole front suspension redone.

only to get hit by a full tread off a tractor/trailer and total it. she grieved for it for over a month before she would look for another.

found a nice 2010 A6 3.0T Audi certified for her. she really likes it but still misses the A8.

Yes but remember that after the 997 you'll need a winter car

then your neighbors will look start to look at you funny
