Anyone ever do something like this?

Anyone widen their fenders using this method? I know this depicts a fiberglass fender, but I'm speaking of doing so to the original metal fenders. Thanks

I would not recommend widening the steel fenders with fiberglass. Save yourself all the headaches and just buy some wider fiberglass fenders from either GT Racing or other vendors.

If for some reason you need/want metal wide fenders then you're better off widening it with metal. Do a search online and you'll see how they widen a metal fender with more metal.

I've seen fenders widened with fiberglass the same way you're doing & they looked great.if you have the time to shape & block sand you can pull it off. if you haven't already, tyr out polyester sprayable filler primer. works great for filling in minor low spots, sand scratches & levels out really nice. you'll need a 2.2mm or larger fluid tip to spray it though. Cheers
